Prisoners

So I've been thinking a lot about this movie and I finally decided to write about it. I've been excited about Prisoners since I found out Hugh Jackman would play the leading role. I just love watching him on screen. :) In my opinion he's able to play   any role and in this film he was simply incredible. Prisoners is also an occasion for Jake Gyllenhaal to show his acting abilities.

Keller Dover (Jackman) is a happy husband and a father of two kids. However, his happiness doesn't last long. One rainy day Dover's daughter and his friend's (Terrence Howard) child go missing. Two girls sink without trace. The police under the guidance of detective Loki (Gyllenhaal) try to find the children, but the chances to take them back home are dropping. Keller becomes more desperate to save his daughter as nobody is able to tell him where the kids are. The desire of rescuing his child will lead him to the big mystery that hides in the history of the town.

Prisoners is about the drama of a father trying to save his daughter. Jackman did a great job. He was so convincing that it was impossible not to get a feel of the events. The credit for acting also goes to Gyllenhaal. An amazing plot, great performances and an incredible climate are one of few reasons to watch Prisoners. In my opinion it's a must-watch for a thriller movies' lover. :)
