Hours

So this is one of those less known films. It's not so popular, but it has an unusual plot. It's unfortunately one of the final movies of Paul Walker who played the main role there. I have to say that he had a hard job to do because the movie is mainly based on a father's monologue to his newborn daughter fighting for life.

New Orleans, the city is being attacked by Hurricane Katrina. In the same time Nolan Hayes (Paul Walker) and his pregnant wife, Abigail (Genesis Rodriguez), are on their way to a hospital. Eventually, the woman dies and the only close person, that Nolan has, is his newborn daughter. However, the life of an infant is in danger and the baby has to be under the constant doctors' care. As the hurricane is destroying the town and conditions outside are getting worse a fledgling father has to fight to survive and keep his daughter alive. 

As I said, Paul Walker got a hard role to play, but he played it pretty well. In my opinion it's one of his best films. I think he and Genesis Rodriguez made a great duo. I also like the idea of setting the events in New Orleans which makes it able to imagine the destruction caused by Hurricane Katrina. The only disadvantage is that sometimes the film seems boring, but on the other hand, it wasn't made to be an action film. There aren't many movies about the relation between a parent and a child so I think the plot is really unusual.
